What will the weather be like in Tuscany in May?

In May, the weather in Tuscany is usually mild and pleasant, with temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.

What is the best way to get to the wedding location in Castiglioncello?

Castiglioncello is located on the coast of Tuscany. There are two main airports nearby:
From Pisa Airport (Galileo Galilei):

The drive takes about 40 minutes (approx. 40 km). 
From Florence Airport (Amerigo Vespucci):

The drive takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes (approx. 100 km).
 

We recommend taking a rental car .


Arriving by car from Germany:

For all guests from Germany who would like to extend their stay in Italy, there is also the option of travelling by car.
From Mainz:

The distance from Mainz to Castiglioncello is approximately 1,100 km. Depending on traffic, the journey takes around 11 to 12 hours. The route takes you through southern Germany, Switzerland and northern Italy, with wonderful stops in cities such as Lucerne or Lake Como.

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Yes, the dress code is elegant chic. Also remember that it can get a bit chilly in the evening, so bring a light scarf or jacket if necessary.
But don't forget to pack your swimsuit for the weekend, as the beach is only a 5-minute walk away and with a bit of luck we'll also get to use the pool

 

Is there accommodation near the location?

Yes, there are several charming hotels within walking distance of the wedding venue. We will compile a list of recommended accommodations.

Will special dietary requirements be catered for?

We will endeavor to cater for all tastes. Please let us know in advance if you have any allergies.

What should I not miss in Tuscany?

Tuscany is a treasure trove of beautiful sights, featuring rolling hills, picturesque vineyards, and charming historic cities like Florence, Siena, and Pisa. If you have the opportunity, we highly recommend exploring the region to soak in its unique beauty and culture.

Bolgheri: a charming, historic medieval village in the countryside of Tuscany, along the Etruscan coast, amidst olive groves and vineyards.

Portofino: a charming seaside village on the Italian Riviera, known for its colorful harbor, luxury yachts, and breathtaking coastal views. With its elegant boutiques, world-class dining, and scenic hiking trails, it's the perfect destination for a stop on your road trip if you enjoy upscale, sophisticated, and classy places. Please be mindful that prices here are higher than in other typical Italian cities.

Perugia: locatedin Umbria, it is a perfect destination to discover central Italy. This historic hilltop city is known for its medieval architecture, charming piazzas, and vibrant atmosphere.
